Je suis Camille Claudel, by Luc Félix

In French with English surtitles

This June, Perth French Theatre invites you to rediscover Camille, not as a tragic figure or a footnote in someone else's story, but as the powerful artist she was.

Experience "Je suis Camille Claudel” at the beautiful Camelot Theatre in Mosman Park from June 19 to 22.

This original work by Luc Félix, written especially for Perth French Theatre, is a poetic, emotional, and immersive journey into the soul of one of France's greatest sculptors, a woman whose art, courage, and voice still resonate today.

Resume

When Hubert, a renowned expert, recounts the story of Camille Claudel, he doesn’t expect to be challenged. But with a fresh perspective and a woman’s view on life, Agnès shakes his convictions and casts a different light on Camille.

What if Camille’s story wasn’t exactly the one her contemporaries wanted us to remember?

That’s the question the young woman dares to ask, determined to dust off the past.
