Classic/traditional Burlesque is boring and/or easy… sod off! 

Dismissing “classic” burlesque as boring or easy means you’re probably not doing it right. 
Strap in for part history lesson, part character and movement study, part choreography and a whole lot of fun. Let’s break down what makes an act “classic” burlesque by taking a look at popular performer references from our rich burlesque history and apply the fundamentals to creating interesting classical inspired burlesque acts that are dripping in tease. Knowledge is power, let's level up your burlesque game!

Open level: suitable for beginners or those with previous Burlesque experience (18+)

Workshop is focused on classic burlesque movements and tease, why they exist and how to use them.
 
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: 

• heels if you want to wear them (flared ballroom style or chunky, no stilettos), bare feet/socks are fine 
• clothes you are comfortable to move in
• pen and paper/laptop for notes
• water bottle 
• a panel/bump skirt if you have one (not essential)
• limited gloves provided, BYO if you have them

Workshop is 1 hour 45mins duration, plus time to chat after.
