Be part of a growing movement to Champion for a Greater Perth today.

With our population expected to reach 3.5 million by 2050, the time to plan for our future is now.

The 2050 Summit is a landmark full-day event hosted by the Committee for Perth. This high-impact event will bring together 400+ leaders, government, students, creatives, entrepreneurs and community advocates to shape a bold and unified vision for Perth’s future.

Based on the evidence and foresight of the Perth 2050 Report, the Summit will ignite critical conversations about what it will take to create a more liveable, inclusive and sustainable city.

Why are we championing a plan for Perth?

The 2050 Summit is the next step in a journey that began over a decade ago. Since 2012, the Committee for Perth has championed the need for a long-term, people-centred plan for our growing region. Developed in conjunction with SciTech, the Perth 2050 Report, revealed that only 22% of Perth people believe we are prepared for the future. How will we adapt to a 50% increase in population without forward planning?

While there are plans that look at how the region will manage land use and infrastructure as Perth grows, what is still missing is a big-picture, shared vision that puts people and community at the heart of how we want to live, work, connect and thrive in the future.

The 2050 Summit is your opportunity to change that. With just 8,837 days until 2050, be part of the conversation that future generations will thank us for.
